Bridge Foods - New Orleans, LA
The project involved designing and constructing a 20,000-square-foot expansion to the existing facility at a total cost of approximately $1.6 million. METROVENTURES managed the engineering design, and directed the installation of process engineering equipment and an expanded bottling/packaging unit. In conjunction with Premier Financial, METROVENTURES
also assisted Bridge Foods in updating its business plan by preparing
a funding application for a Small Business Administration guaranteed loan
of $2 million. This loan included project capital costs, as well as the
company's expanded working capital requirements. |

METROVENTURES
provided development services to Bridge Foods, Inc., a specialty
food manufacturer whose products are marketed under the "Ashanti"
label. Initial activities included assessing the existing New
Orleans, LA office/manufacturing facilities and developing options
for expansion. METROVENTURES' services included conducting lease
negotiations, design and engineering coordination, equipment procurement,
and construction management.
